Baptism is God’s most beautiful and magnificent gift. It marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. Through this first sacrament of initiation into the Catholic Church, your child begins a new life in Christ and becomes part of the Church community. 

Through baptism:

• Your child is freed from original sin

• Your child becomes a child of God

• Your child becomes a member of the Church

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

As parents, you are the first teachers of your child in the ways of faith. 

By choosing baptism, you are committing to:

• Raise your child in the Catholic faith

• Model prayer, love, and Christian values

• Bring your child to Mass regularly

• Be an example of Christian living

Godparents support you in raising your child in the faith.

They must:

• Be practising Catholics

• Be role models of the faith

• Help parents raise the child in the faith

You are not alone in this journey.

Your support comes from:

• Parents (primary educators)

• Godparents

• Your parish community

• Your family

• At least one parent MUST be a Catholic

• Baptism is held on a scheduled Sunday at 3:00 pm

• Duration: Approximately 1 hour

• Conducted as a para-liturgy (not during Mass)

• Location: Main Church
